My Final Christmas Blog

Ethan, Abby, Paige, and Jake- our four Christmas Angels

Yes it is true I am finally writing my final Christmas blog for the year! We had Christmas with my family at my older brother's house this year on the Saturday after Christmas. We decided to have Mexican food since we were all burnt out on turkey. All the food was wonderful and as always we all had a great time! Grammie went a little over board on the gift giving this year. I couldn't be mad at her considering she did such an excellent job. She truly researched each and every toy she purchased for the kids. Thus far she seems to have been right with every selection and they love it all. My younger brother, Brandon, was able to make this gathering as well which was great. The kids are really taking a liking to Brandon and since they have gotten older he seems to enjoy them as well. It was a wonderful day filled with family, food, and fun!

We also had Christmas with Dallas' family on New Year's day this year. Due to a month of sickness starting in early December we had to stretch our holiday a little longer than normal this year. I was so done with Christmas by the time we reached our last one that I didn't take one picture with Dallas' family. Isn't that horrible! What makes it worse is neither did his mother. I don't know why but we were all having such a good time visiting and playing together that we did not catch one singe Kodak moment. Nana and Grand Daddy gave them a sit and spin that they haven't quite got the hang of yet and a bouncing Zebra like their cousins. Paige was a little possessive of the Zebra for a while but she has learned now to let her brother bounce on it occasionally. It was certainly a long Christmas holiday this year but I can't complain. We were so extremely blessed with family, friends, and such good fortune this year when so many others were not. I thank God daily that we are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives!

The guys were all helping Grammie get all the kids gifts organized and ready to go in the garage.

These were the first of the many gifts to come. They are bouncing horses called, Rodys, but they look like smiling donkeys. Too funny! The kids LOVE these things and bounce on them constantly.

Go Girls, Jump! All the kids ran in circles switching between different horses.

Abby made sure everyone had a Rody. She kept gathering all the horses and corralling them in different areas. It was Uncle Brandon's turn to keep all the horses. She was so cute!

Our kids loved their cousins Zebra and they were thrilled when they got one of their own.

Uncle Dallas and Abby have a special friendship.

Abby loved talking on her new cell phone.

Gifts galore...

Wow a kitchen set too!
Ethan had tape stuck to his foot and it was hilarious. He just stood there with his foot up forever waiting for someone to help him. Daddy came to his rescue once he quit laughing.

All the kids liked the riding on toys. Traffic Jam! :)

Playing with our Doodle Pros. All the adults were already filling their plates and my husband was in the living room playing with all the kids. Just another reason why I love him.

Then it was back to the gifts...

Jake and Abby liked the balls better than the goal.

Dallas putting together their gift from Aunt Wendy and Uncle John Mark. It looks like it would have been horrible but D actually loved it. He said it was like putting together a huge Lego set. The ball pit and slide is definitely one of the kids favorite toys!

That is it all set up in the playroom. Doesn't it look like fun!
