Little Gym Play Date

All the twins in attendance!

My AMOM club held its annual Little Gym open play date on Monday, Dec. 22nd. Dallas and I took off work to take the kids to the play date and to have some alone adult time. We were running late as usual and didn't arrive at Little Gym until almost 11am. The play date started at 10:30 and went until 11:30 and honestly I was kind of glad we were late. Those kids ran us ragged!

When we arrived I looked around for our group and was confused when I only saw one room and it was swarming with people. I ask, "Is that the AMOM group?" The lady looked towards the room back at me and said, "Yea that's it." Oh My Goodness!!! There were so many kids in this room! I took the kids shoes and socks off and we headed in. Dallas paid our $5 per kid and met us in there. I wasn't really sure how the kids would react since we have never been to a gym especially with that many people. They didn't care one bit about all those people! I should have known. They ran from obstacle to obstacle without one thought of who or what they were running over in the mean time. It was all Dallas and I could do to keep up with one kid each. We would pass in the middle of the room and signal a switch and you were off again after your kid.

The kids had so much fun that they cried when we had to leave. Paige's favorite thing was definitely the bubbles! You would have thought the child had never seen bubbles before! The young man working there humored her and surrounded her in bubbles. Paige was surprising good at the climbing wall as well. Ethan's favorite thing was definitely the balance beams and their spring boards. The other children were so patient as he bounced on the spring board over and over. He also really liked the bars with pads that he could climb up and over.

Come to find out that the club has never held the open play date on a date after school was out for the holidays thus why there were so many people. The club takes all the profits for this fund raiser. Every other year prior the club has made about $150 and this year we made over $350! At $5 a kid that is 70 children in one room of all ages, crazy! It was a good group of kids and the older kids were very patient and helpful to the little kids.

I looked into the gyms prices and it is just not possible for us to enroll them this session but maybe soon. Almost all of the classes are during the week as well and for us both working that is not a possibility. Melissa is having Landon and Addison's 2nd birthday party at Little Gym so that will have to do for us for now.

They both loved the trampoline. Excuse me- coming through

Move over brother. Hi Landon, bye Landon no time to chat.

The spring board Ethan loved.

He got better at the beam every time he got on it.

It is time for bubbles...

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!

She was so enthralled in these bubbles!

Too many bubble pictures and I couldn't choose.

This was Ethan's other favorite thing. Landon and Ethan.

Look all four of the kids in one picture!

Jumping on the board again. Landon and Addi loved swinging.

Paige was amazing on the wall. You see her look saying, "What, I don't need your help."
