Go Daddy!

Last night I made plans to go visit my friend Claudia at her new apartment. Dallas met me at work and traded vehicles to go get the kids. I took his car and headed home to change clothes and such before heading out to Claudia's. I left some notes for him and just couldn't help myself. I ran around laying out their pjs and everything else they needed for the night. He is their Dad! I mean come on Mrs. Control Freak but in reality I just want everything to go smoothly for everyone.

I am proud to report Dad did very well as usual. They were a little irritated with his rusty after bath routine. However they were asleep all the same when I arrived back home. The house was clean, the trays were washed, the toys were picked up, and most all of their food was ready for the next day. Woo Hoo! Go Dallas! The bathroom was a bit of a mess with the tub water still full but he quickly cleaned it up. I can say he looked absolutely exhausted but who could tell if that had anything to do with the kids or if it was just another long day at work. Honestly it was probably both but he did it all anyway!

Thank you D for my evening away from home! It is so nice to have uninterrupted girl time every once in a while. I love you!

On another note...
Grammy is coming over to hang out with the kiddos tonight so I can go shopping with Melissa for our July 4th decor. All the kids are going to be in the Arlington city 4th of July parade with AMOMs. We have to quit wasting time and get our wagons decorated!

Weekend at Home

What a wonderful weekend! Except for Paigey having an ear infection we had such an awesome weekend. We stayed at home all weekend!

On Saturday my sister in law came over with my niece and nephew, Abby and Jake for a play date. Ethan didn't nap well, Jake and Paige weren't feeling their best but we had a good time in spite of it. Abby was feeling great and was definitely being a cutie pie. Paige slept half the time and looked very "not in the mood" when she got up to people in her house. Ethan was tired and didn't want to share any of his toys. Jake was being a good boy even though his tummy was hurting. As long as he had a bite he was good. Even though the kids weren't at their best I am still glad we did not cancel. I really love seeing the kids all play together! I think we are a very special family to be blessed with two sets of twins both boy/girl and almost the same age. They are destine to be friends as well as cousins! Thank you Aunt Wendy for making the drive.

Besides our play date on Saturday we did not leave the house all weekend. On Saturday evening Dallas and I rented a movie and hung out together. Of course we did not make it through the movie and were in bed by 11pm but at least we spent some time together. Sunday we played with our kids all day together! We even managed to keep up with the house work surprisingly well making for a nicer Sunday evening.

So much more than an ear infection

Last week Paige had been pulling at her left ear and started to run a slight fever. She is cutting a tooth as well so I was not sure if it was an ear infection or simply teething. I took her to the doc and she did in fact have an infection in the left ear. We filled the antibiotic and considered ourselves lucky to have caught it in time. After a day or so on the medicine she threw up her dinner two nights in a row. On Friday she threw up before her dinner I knew the antibiotic was making her sick. Throughout the weekend we finally figured out how to manage her sensitive tummy. We broke up the dose of antibiotic into two doses one in the morning and one in the evening. She is also off all milk products until after the 10th day of antibiotics. She is starting to eat a little better and hopefully she will be back to her old self before long.

Ok I will finally join the bloggers as well...

I have finally decided to join the world of the bloggers. I used to keep daily logs in a book of everything that happened with the babies but as they have gotten older the schedule books have become obsolete. Since I stopped writing in the books I have lost all track of milestones, cute phrases, and just memories in general. I feel like blogging might be the only way for me to keep up with everything...

Woo Hoo! Here we go!
