Easter w the Mayfield

By Easter Sunday Paige was doing a little better but we still could not go anywhere. We had postponed the Easter festivities with my family until the following Saturday. At least our kids are still young enough to not know the difference. Dallas' parents went ahead and came over Easter Sunday since they don't have any small children to worry about infecting. We had a really good day spending time with Nana and Grand Daddy.

Paige being cute for her Grandparents.

They graciously brought an entire tub full of food for our Easter get together. They had cooked a breakfast casserole for that morning and an entire brisket feast for lunch. Thank you so much Nana and Grand Daddy for going to all that trouble. The food was delicious!

The kids were excited about the food they brought as well but for a different reason. They LOVED the tub! First they decided to get in and out of the tub...

I tried to tell them it was going to fall... to late there it went!

Then they discovered it could be turned upside down and used as a loud multi-person drum. The entire family took part in this activity. The kids loved it! One of the kids would say, "Ready, set go!" and we would all drum on the tub. Then we would all stop and wait until the next kid said it was time to go again. This game lasted forever. The kids probably would have kept going for hours but Mommy got tired of the noise after a while.

We all enjoyed Nana and Grand Daddy reading books all day. The kids love to read their books but Dallas and I are completely over EVERY book they own! I can read most of them in my sleep and some day I just can't bare to read them again. The doctor says their infatuation with books is a wonderful thing but she doesn't have to read them. The poor kids get sent by each of us to the other one to read. "Paigey, take it to your Daddy. He wants to read it to you." She happily runs to Daddy as he cuts me a glare and I take my chance to go do something in the kitchen. Grandparents always want to read the books. Thank God for Grandparents!

Could she be any more comfortable!

We decided not to mess with an Easter egg hunt that day since they were already going to have two this year. Paige was only able to play for so long without coughing and gagging so we skipped the eggs. We had a wonderful Easter visit with Dallas' family.

I made the boys clean up! HA! HA!
