Summer days

Friday, July 10th we made plans to head over to Nancy and Ed's house to swim after work. We usually only make plans like that on weekend days but I wanted to see how the kids would do. When we picked them up from daycare they said Ethan did not take a nap that day. Wonderful! Oh well, we were going anyway.

We had a great time as usual swimming and visiting together! This was one of the first times Ethan had actually seemed to enjoy the water. He was kicking and trying to swim. Yeah for Ethan! Paige did not need to be held at all this time. She is so confident in the water. She found an empty water bottle and played with that for the longest time.

They have an attached hot tub but they do not have it turned on. It is a perfect area for the kids to run around and play. They feel like big kids in their own pool.


We were still in the pool lounging around while the kids played under the patio. I look up and see Paige and Allison coloring with chalk together. It was so cute! I took a few pictures and decided it was cute enough for me to actually get out of the pool and get a shot over the fence. Ha!



While we were getting dinner ready, I noticed Ethan looking in at baby Rylie. He is so interested in babies lately. He has to stop by the infant room at daycare every morning and say hi to all the babies. He was talking to Rylie as she smiled and starred at him.


Then they go to reach and touch hands. Steal my heart.


I just couldn't get enough of this.

After swimming we went ahead and put their pajamas on for the ride home. We had such a good time and meltdowns were at a minimum. Thanks for having us over Nancy and Ed!
