The Mall- Round Two

It was too cold to go to the park a few Sundays ago and the kids were so bored. Dallas and I decided to take them to the mall and let them play in the play area. I knew it would be busy since it was about 3:00 pm on a Sunday but the kids needed new shoes so we went.

The play area was much better with two adults to two children; however, the problem this time was all the bigger kids. I swear the parents were all sitting right there and the kids were all running wild! Bigger kids were literally running and kept knocking over all the little kids. I was about to get really vocal when we decided to just go ahead and head down to Stride Rite for shoes. The kids had a great time regardless but Dallas and I were nervous wrecks. Control your children people that's what is wrong with the world today!!! (Well that's one of the things wrong with the world.)

Getting a picture of them together is just so pointless.

We walked around the mall and made our way to the shoe store. Both of the kids feet are so wide that they can't fit in ANY shoes other than Stride Rite. I am thankful that Stride Rite provides the huge shoes we need but seriously do they really need to cost $60.00 a pair! Ridiculous!!! Ethan's new shoes were sizes 6 1/2 and 7 extra wide and Paige's new shoes were 6 and 6 1/2 wide. They were good as you can expect two 18 months old children to be.

Playing in the shoe store. New shoes for little man!
No picture of Paige getting shoes because I had to hold her still. Ha!

We then headed to the food court and had a little snack I had packed. We decided to take a shot at our first carousel ride. Ethan was such a big boy riding his horse! He didn't even need Daddy to hold onto him he could do it himself. Paige on the other hand wanted no part of the horse thing. She clung to me and screamed when I tried twice to put her on one. Paige and I rode on the bench in front of Ethan and Dallas. I have to say the carousel really moves and should probably be slowed down for the safety of all children. The bench we were on didn't even have any seat belts but that wasn't a big problem Paige wasn't going anywhere. She had no desire to try and move while this loud, bright, confusing thing was spinning at warp speeds. You can see her face of disapproval and her hand holding on for dear life. She is such a little dare devil at home but not that day. Ethan didn't really seem to know what to think but he was sure a brave little man!

Such a big boy!
So not loving it!
Same blank expression on both of their faces like father like son!
