Catch up continued... Halloween

The entire trick or treat group!

Halloween came and no one had thrown up in three days so we were good for trick or treating.

Melissa took the kids to a friend of hers house for a small Halloween party on Friday. I figured the party would be early in the day so it wasn't a big deal. She ended up not taking the kids until like 3:30 pm so by the time I picked them up they were exhausted.

I tried to feed them dinner early so I could get them ready and out the door to go. They weren't hungry that early so that didn't work well. Once we got over to Charlotte's house they were getting hungry and wanted to eat everything they could reach. Neither one of the kids could be still for 2 seconds. Ethan took off down the street the minute we got there. Paige ran wild from one thing to another. Her favorite was a big bucket of candy corn that was on the ground for a game. We are always invited to Charlotte's house for the outside Halloween party and the way our kids act in public that might change. I saw all the other kids even kids their age and none of them were running crazy. It must be a twin thing because all the twins I know are as wild and energetic as mine. I hope!

The only way we could control the kids or get a picture was to strap them in the wagon. Trick or Treating was just not going to happen this year they were just too tired especially Paige. All they wanted to do during trick or treating was eat puffs and sit while we pulled them in the wagon. If I walked more than 2 feet away Paige she would lose it. She has been so attached to me lately. On our last outburst we decided we were done and started packing them up in the car.

We got in the car beat to hell and looked at the clock...7:32pm! What! We had only been there an hour and were barely even past bed time. It was pathetic! One good thing about very scheduled kids is that they are just that... routine. Problem with that is that they do not flow with changing the schedule very much either. They were just too tired from the little party that evening to give a damn about trick or treating. Oh well we had some fun so it was worth it. They were an angel and a devil but not in that particular order! LOL

We are here and ready to party...

Emily just wanted a hug and couldn't catch Paige.
I love this picture! So cute!

He kept just running to the street and up the sidewalk. Guess he knew what to do.

The "leashes" did not work well in their costumes. Little boy was tired.

Emily wanted a picture and Paige wanted a drink. Lets go!
It was so over at this point.

Better luck for trick or treating door to door next year!
