Summer day are here

This Saturday we opened the kids new swimming pool that Grandpa John and Grandma BB got them for their birthday. They were so excited waiting for Daddy to finish blowing it up. I brought pitchers of hot water from the kitchen to help even out the cold water. I decided to not put swim suits on them since we were in our own back yard. Dallas and I soon decided that was not wise with the sun out in all it's glory. That would not be a fun sunburn. So we put on swim shorts and let them go.


They had to play outside the pool for a while first.


Then they dove right in and loved it! Ethan had no fear. In prior years he has not wanted to get his head wet, but this time he was flying face first into the water. Then we would get up laughing and want to go again. Paige has always loved the water.


I love these little stinkers.


They enjoyed swimming around on their tummies too.


Doing silly faces is a new thing around our house.


The mother in me just wants to shout, "Stop, your face is going to get stuck that way"!


It was such a relaxing afternoon. We sat in chairs on the patio talking and hanging out while the kids played in the pool for hours. No one got sunburned and the kids were wiped out Saturday night. Thanks again Grandpa John and Grandma BB! We love our new pool!!
